City Lit Acting Diploma (Level 3)

Thank you for your interest in Acting Diploma Level 3 at City Lit. This application form is used to gather a little information from you, in order to understand your interests and previous experience, and to assess your suitability for the course.

Criteria for acceptance

1.    Your audition and interview show your current level of performance skill to be appropriate for the course for which you are offered a place.

2.    The Drama Department feels that the course will be of benefit to you.

3.    You demonstrate through this form and the selection process that you are prepared to make a full commitment to the course, showing evidence of your dedication, motivation and serious intent.

4.    You demonstrate through the selection process that you will be able to work well with others, exhibiting the trust, respect and close emotional exchange with others required in acting.

5.    You demonstrate that you understand that you are able and willing to complete the written reflective work and research, as well as practical work, required by the course.

6.    You are prepared to undertake home study and rehearsals out of class time, where needed.

7.    You have English of a sufficient standard to

  • Listen actively and communicate clearly
  • Give and receive constructive feedback
  • Read and analyse scripts to find meaning and clarity
  • Take written notes
  • Use numbers to recognise rhythm

If you are accepted onto this course you agree that your image will be recorded for assessment and moderation purposes and held securely by the college until after final moderation by the external accrediting body, Open College Network London.
